Debra and Steve Koenig describe the 5 acres that surround their River Hills home in various ways. She calls it a labor of love. He calls it a tremendous amount of work. They both say it’s central to their lives. “There’s no question about that. We spend most of our time in the growing months working on our property. This calendar year the Mad River Valley Arts Backyard Tour celebrates the gardeners in The Valley who have beautified the earth. There are 6 gardens on the July 16 tour, each and every situated in a various portion of The Valley. In each and every backyard garden there will be an artist, portray and/or exhibiting their function, which is all for sale.
