Tony Rodriguez-Tellaheche, owner of Miami-based Prestige Realty Group, told The Real Deal he’s going to handle some listings for a start-up cryptocurrency company that wants to sell 8,888 digital luxury homes in the metaverse. Rodriguez-Tellaheche is partnering with Vancouver-based Keys Token, which launched its digital coin last month, trading at an opening price of roughly 0.002 cents. The state has reached a $3.5 million settlement with corporate real estate investor Wedgewood, known for its stand-off with Oakland activists Moms 4 Housing. The agreement requires the southern California company to revamp its business practices, adhere to stringent state and local renter protections and submit regular compliance reports to the department of justice, Attorney General Rob Bonta announced Wednesday. A Berks County man previously sentenced to probation for home improvement fraud in three counties faces new fraud counts after Mohnton police accused him of ripping off two borough homeowners to the tune of nearly 11,000. Joseph Duerr, 39, whose last known address was listed as the 2800 block of Sturbridge Court in Spring Township, was arrested Monday by members of the warrants division of the Berks County sheriff’s office. Trading in shares of Chinese real estate developer Kaisa was halted Wednesday for the second time in two months, as troubles in China’s property sector resurfaced this week. The developer had been snowed under by debt issues, as it struggled to make repayments recently. It looked unlikely that it met its $400 million offshore debt deadline on Tuesday, according to Reuters.
